Blizzard Rat

Before I could blink (and take an other picture) the creature rapidly ran up the cat ladder which leads onto our balcony. I followed the critter upstairs (inside the house using the stairs, not the cat ladder) and I took a few more photos with my cell phone of this “strange thingy” invading our property:
